Jingle Paws to Benefit K9’s for Warriors
Everyone needs a little happiness & love in their lives. That’s what the Partners for Animal Welfare Series (PAWS) is all about, partnering loving animals with deserving veterans. Come out, show some support and feel good while you do it. There will also be vendors and giveaways not to mention lots of pups who hope you’re coming out to give them some pets!
Friday Dec 6th:
First Friday @ CAM (& Saturday)
Can low rider motorcycles be art? Absolutely! This is arguably the coolest thing happening this weekend, and it’s going down at CAM. It’s FREE to the public for First Friday 6-10pm & Saturday 12-3pm. Kids are welcome to come out too, there will be arts & crafts and such for them to have fun with.
First Friday Holiday Market
There’s going to be a very special holiday party in the street outside Raleigh Times. There will be plenty of street vendors, artists, a beer tent and live music from 7-11pm. So come out, but dress warm, and probably wear gloves… drinks make hands even colder…
Christmas Reunion Party @ Longbranch
This is a special event for all those Longbranch lovers out there!! If you’ve missed it, or if you never got the chance to experience it, this is your chance to come out and have some fun. This is kind of a one night only thing, but if it goes as well as it looks like it might, I’m betting they may do it again! So come out, show some support and have some fun.
Saturday Dec 7:
Sleigh Rides & Cider
This is for the family types, and perhaps the love bird types who can look past everyone else’s little rug rat and just enjoy the day! This is a Wake County event, happening at Historic Oak View County Park. The fun will consist of horse-drawn carriage rides, hot apple cider, live music, games, crafts and probably an appearance from good Ole’ Saint Nick! Hot Nuts & Cider
This event might sound like the punch line of a holiday joke, but it’s actually just a holiday event aimed at Downtown Raleigh Hipster types. I’m not knocking it, it should be quite fun, and a more hip alternative to the Sleigh Rides & Cider event put on by the county. Adults will love it because they will get a chance to pick out a Christmas tree with their family, as well as have the opportunity to buy a VIP Bottomless Mug for spiked cider, and of course kids love 2 Roosters Ice Cream. So it’s a win win for the entire family!

Boylan Heights ArtWalk
ArtWalks are a lot of fun, they support local artists and get locals involved and interacting with each other. There’s a real sense of community when it comes to these ArtWalks. This is the 27th Annual ArtWalk for Boylan Heights. Attendees will get a chance to see all types of art including pottery, painting, photography, handcrafted jewelry, glass work, fiber goods, metal work.. really, all sorts of stuff. So come out and show some love for local artists.
