Raleigh’s Best Bachelor Party Ideas

Posted on June 9, 2014October 25, 2018

Bachelor_Party_Raleigh_Ideas_StripperThere aren’t a lot of options when it comes to having a bachelor party in Raleigh. But there can be a lot of pressure on the bachelor, the best man and all his friends to throw an awesome bachelor party. Well, this quick guide will give you a run down of all the best ideas that will make your bachelor party awesome and one to remember!

Bachelor Party Check List:

  1. Wholesome fun
  2. Eat something
  3. Drink a lot
  4. Visit a strip club

1. Wholesome fun is important and will help make the wife-to-be more relaxed about the bachelor party experience as a whole. Since the party is not all about getting drunk and going to a strip club the bitch shouldn’t get mad. I suggest either Go Kart racing at Rush Hour, Laser Tag at Indoor War, Bowling at The Alley or Shooting at the Personal Defense and Handgun Safety Center. The key to the wholesome fun part is to plan it early in the evening before you’re shit faced. You can even invite the bride and her maids and they can start their Bachelorette party with you before you go your separate ways. Most of these can be turned into a Guys vs. Girls thing which is always fun!

2. Eat Something cheap that will help soak up all the alcohol you’re about to consume. I recommend Cookout, ’cause why not!! Just skip the milkshake, you don’t wanna do that tonight. Go for the Huge Tea or even opt for a water. The dinner is not that important. In the big picture, nobody really remembers the dinner, or says, “Man, wish I had gone to a nicer restaurant during my bachelor party!”

3. Drink a lot of alcohol!!! It’s a tradition to get totally goosed during your bachelor party. So do it! Best men, know your limits, you need to keep the groom from getting arrested and/or catching herpes. So no matter what happens he goes home with you and passes out on your couch. Try to get him to take 2 aspirin and a Gatorade before he goes to sleep.  (Leave a trash can beside him). But yeah, call around and find a good bar with good drink specials you can hit, if you’re bar hopping find 3 to 5 good bars to hit before you end your night at the strip club. The play here is either South Glenwood or Fayetteville Street. You’re not going to want to visit clubs, it ends up being a lot of hassle and wasted time. Drink with your mates at a bar and get them shit faced in about an hour or so.

4. Visiting a strip club is probably the single most important part of any bachelor party. The best strip club to visit for bachelor parties in the Raleigh area  is Pure Gold in Cary. The Men’s club is okay, it’s nice if you want to reserve a cabana and sit and talk to girls but if you want to throw down and party and have a wild night, it’s got to be at Pure Gold!!! Contact them in advance to schedule your party so they know you’re coming and you can make a deal for everyone’s admission and not end up trying to work it out once you’re there. It just makes for a smoother entry and you can keep the party going. I recommend Pure Gold because they’re more attentive, more exciting and a better party environment than any other strip club in the Raleigh area. It’s also a little bit less expensive than the other clubs. Remember, the more money you save on drinks and cover, the more dances you can buy the Groom!!

*Best Men* If you follow these 4 simple steps you’ll have a great night and everyone will be complimenting your party planning skills. Your best friend will be saying “thank you for the awesome party” the next day, once he wakes up and gets his shit together, oh and he’ll probably apologize for vomiting right next to the trash can. But anyway, the wife-to-be will be thankful you showed him a great time but also took good care of him and that will keep you in her good graces for years to come, which is very important. You’ll find out why in a few months/years.

Use an UBER! Don’t ruin a great night by drinking and driving!

My experience is both The Men’s Club and Capital are better then Pure Gold. Being full nude is nice but it’s more expensive not less then the other clubs. Not a upscale club and the bouncers are looking to start a fight. For a bachelor party I would recommend either The Men’s Club or Capital Cabaret and not Pure Gold.

Hey Bud, first let me say thanks for reading my article, I love when people read my work and then offer their insight.

And I’ll agree that the Men’s Club is nice, beautiful building and the floormen are good at what they do. But there are two reasons I wouldn’t recommend them for a bachelor party. The first is, the Men’s Club is almost a brothel, the stuff that they allow in their private rooms is just ridiculous. I don’t want a young couples relationship to end before it gets started because he gets… we’ll say herpes… during his bachelor party. And secondly, the Men’s Club is geared toward old men with alot of money who want to sit and talk for a while and then go in the back. It’s not a live party environment with an active stage. I go to both clubs more than I should. Haha And when I see bachelor parties at the Men’s Club they just seem lame like they’re trying so hard to have fun and it’s just not happening.

And my experiences at Capital Cabaret have led me to never go there again or speak of what I saw and experienced. I hope they’ve changed but I don’t think I’ll ever know first hand.

So yeah, I recommend Pure Gold mostly for the nude factor and the party atmosphere. And in the end, Pure Gold actually is cheaper. Especially when a round of patron shots for a group of 8 at the Men’s Club ends up costing $128. (Ouch!) I won’t make that mistake again.

Thanks for your thoughts! If anyone else has insight or experiences to offer please leave a comment.

      Thanks!
